It's All In The Timing
Looking back, everything in my life has been in God’s perfect timing. I don’t know about you, but sometimes when things in my life didn’t go as planned, I deemed them as “dead”.
Growing up, I wanted to be a singer so badly. My parents got me lessons at a very young age, and I sang practically all the time. I would mimic my favorite singers, and dreamed of singing in front of people. But as I got a little older, life settled in, and so did reality. I actually let go of my gift for a really long time. I called it “dead”. The dream was dead. The hope was dead. My gift was dead.
But God had other plans. I believe I had to go through that time so that God could “resurrect” it when the time was right. Much like Lazarus, God needed to wait for it to “die” in my life so that I would humble myself and realize that my gift wasn’t from me. Otherwise, I may not have used it for HIS glory.
“So he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. And for your sakes, I’m glad I wasn’t there, for now you will really believe. Come, let’s go see him.””
John 11:14-15 NLT
Is there something in your life that needed to die for a time in order to be resurrected in God’s perfect timing? Drop me a comment below👇 I’d love to hear it. Maybe you feel like that old dream or that old gift is still dead, and it’s time to use it for God.
